Organic Tobacco Growing in America

A new book co-authored by Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Co.’s master blender Mike Little, leaf director Fielding Daniel, and communications executive Mark Smith, along with tobacco writer Jim Haskins, chronicles a 20-year effort to establish and develop organic tobacco farming in the United States. It includes a history of organic tobacco growing, details on what’s required to be a certified grower, and the requirements that processors and manufacturers must adhere to. All profits from the sale of the book are being contributed to the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association which promotes organic and earth-friendly farming.

Since the late ‘70s, the Zippo lighter has been the ultimate accessory for making a bold statement in music; the sea of flames cascading across an arena from Zippo lighters has even been coined the Zippo Encore Moment. Now Zippo is introducing more than 40 new music lighter designs, expanding the collection to include artists such as AC/DC, Def Leppard, and Kiss, joining traditional, top-selling favorites such as Elvis, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. Also launched is the new ZippoEncore.com website, a music-focused social network packed with exclusive music downloads, photos, and video. In addition, Zippo is sponsoring a total of 10 Live Nation venues in eight states.
