The History of Savinelli Pipe Making Featured on Italian-Filmed DVD

For 125 years, the Savinelli family has operated a tobacco shop on Orefici Street in Milan, Italy. Founded by Achilles Savinelli in 1876, the shop became the cornerstone of a family business that is today known throughout the world for its commitment to excellence.

Carlo Savinelli succeeded his father in the company and began the production of pipes with the Savinelli name. Carlos’s son, Achille Junior, later opened a factory at Molina di Barasso and began to successfully market Savinelli pipes globally. Today, Giancarlo, great grandson of Achille, is the fourth generation to preserve the family’s dedication to quality, continuing the same hand-made processes that made Savinelli pipes world-renowned.

In celebration of its 125th anniversary, Savinelli has produced a DVD film telling the history of Savinelli pipe making, all filmed in Italy. Also included is a full-color catalog of the entire Savinelli pipe line and all of the company’s smoking accessories including tools, pouches, pipe racks, maintenance items, humidors, and cigar accessories. Suggested retail price for the DVD is $19.99.
